Reviews:

Photoplay, April, 1942: "Too utterly utter, and all that sort of rot, my deah."

Time, March 23, 1942: "Tailor made for Miss Shearer, who has been off the screen for a year. 'Dancing' is a costly, embarrassing picture, whose mood and manners are both dated and false."

Notes/Trivia:
-Based on the Noel Coward play, "Tonight at 8:30"
-Ava Gardner has a bit part in this movie, which was also her first appearance onscreen.
-Rushed into production since there were no Norma Shearer films in 1941. MGM had anticipated big box office since comedy was highly successful, unfortunately, they were wrong for this picture.
