Reviews:

Mordaunt Hall in the New York Times, September 1, 1926: "Norma Shearer, looking as if anything more attractive than ever, does extremely well with the role of Nina. She is evidently a clever swimmer, even though she has not had time to tackle the English Channel, and her bathing costume, worn under frock, is bound to find a favor in both the masculine and feminine eyes. It is set off with a Turban which does not detract from her good looks, even if it covers her fair hair. The role of Philip is well handled by Conrad Nagel whose talent is unsuited to this style of narrative."
