Reviews:

Harriette Underhill in Movie Weekly, February 28, 1925: "Norma Shearer is a charming and beautiful comedienne. We prophesy big things for Norma, for her rise has been very marked and rapid. Conrad Nagel is not handicapped by having to portray too much virtue. Renee Adoree is amusing as a French girl and Walter Hiers shines as a colored porter on the train. Rupert Hughes, himself, must have written the titles, no one else could have done them like that."

Motion Picture News, February 7, 1925: "Rupert Hughes' rollicking farce, Excuse Me reaches the screen as one of the funniest films of the season. It reminds us of a Harold Lloyd picture in its comedy inventions and assortment of gags. And there isn't a moment that it sags in its diverting incidents and laughs. The picture is played in high spirited fashion by Bert Roach, Norma Shearer, Renee Adoree, Conrad Nagel, though Walter Hiers as the colored porter is not so successful with the burnt cork. It is neatly staged, and certain of responsive laughs."
