Reviews:

Photoplay, November, 1924: "Another variation of the desert island story; with a young engineer and a spoiled daughter of jazz isolated for months in a Northwestern river ravine from which there is no escape. Discarding one piece bathing suits and wearing fur make-shifts cures the spoiled girl of her distorted view of life. Jack Holt is the man who knows the wilderness like an open book and Norma Shearer is the girl."

Mordaunt Hall in the New York Times, August 18, 1924: "Miss Shearer's eyes are really beautiful, and, as her hair is not curled according to movie fashion, she is quite pleasing in this film. She seems to be a good swimmer when in the water and is evidently conscious that her ankles are by no means ungainly. Her eyebrows deserved at least two words of praise."

Notes/Trivia:
Norma had an affair with director Victor Fleming during the making of this movie.
Norma's future brother-in-law, legendary director Howard Hawks, edited this film.
